Having to work reduced hours:

If your hours are reduced or if you are temporarily unemployed due to COVID-19 and are expected to return to work with your employer within a few weeks, you can file an unemployment insurance claim.

You will not be required to seek work each week if your unemployment insurance claim is approved. However workers must be ready to work during the unemployment period for each week of benefits claimed and meet eligibility criteria.

Benefits can range from $40 - $450 a week.
