The bi-annual OCCCO Leadership Summit held on Saturday, January 29 was a huge success! Four trainings, hosted by OCCCO community leaders, OCCCO staff and Robert Nothoff, a policy analyst from OCCORD, engaged nearly 70 community residents from multiple cities in Orange County, and a few from LA county.
The series of trainings focused on understanding the environment of Orange County and taught principles, techniques, and skills that we use in our organizing work on a daily basis. It also included a training session for those who are completely new to organizing. Also, look for the next Leadership Summit on Saturday, July 30, 2011.
