Youth Organizing
This training will be run by youth leaders and organizers from OCCCO's sister affiliate, Inland Congregations United for Change (ICUC). ICUC has had great success in organizing hundreds of youth to take action around issues from access to parks and open spaces, to closing the education gap, to fixing the state revenue crisis. These youth organizers will teach us how to have effective one to one's with youth, how to expand youth organizing networks and grow our youth LOCs, how they have been able to find winnable issues in the Inland Empire, and how organizing has affected their lives and communities.
Entrenamiento de cómo Organizar los Jovenes
Los líderes jóvenes y organizadores jóvenes de Inland Congregations United for Change (ICUC), una afiliada de PICO, nos dará este entrenamiento. ICUC ha tenido muchos éxitos en sus esfuerzos para organizar cientos de jóvenes para tomar acción sobre asuntos como al acceso a los parques y espacios abiertos, cerrando la brecha de logros académicos, y resolviendo el problema del déficit en el Estado. Eses organizadores jóvenes nos enseñará cómo tener unos a unos efectivos con jóvenes, como expandir nuestros redes de organizar jóvenes y como crecer nuestros comités de jóvenes, como han podido encontrar asuntos ganables en el Inland Empire, y como organizar ha afectado sus vidas y comunidades.

Race and voter development
Leaders will learn ideas/tools that help understand how racism plays a role in racialized voter outcomes. They will also learn to identify a voter development program that recognizes cultural difference so that it effectively reaches different groups.

Los líderes aprenderán ideas / herramientas que ayudan a entender cómo el racismo juega un papel en los resultados de los votantes. Get Out The Vote: Voter Registration
So you want to register a voter but you don’t know what to say. This training will teach you how to engage strangers in a short but powerful conversation about the issues in your community that have inspired you to do this work. You will practice having conversations with many types of people, learn what not to say, and will become an expert on correctly filling out the voter registration card. There will be many opportunities in this training to practice. By the end of this training you will feel confident enough to teach this process to your entire LOC.

Asi que usted desea registrar a un votante, pero no sabe que decir? Este entranamiento le ensenara como involucrar a alguien que usted no conoce, en una conversacion corta pero poderosa sobre los problemas de su comunidad que le han inspirado para hacer este trabajo.
