Tracy’s work with OCCCO began by working alongside the Mesa del Mar community leaders in Costa Mesa.  Noticing the gang activity in their neighborhoods, these community leaders worked with Tracy to bring the Gang Reduction and Intervention Program (GRIP) to three Costa Mesa elementary schools.  Tracy’s leadership in Orange County has brought the GRIP program to 43 schools, impacting thousands of families’ lives by preventing violence and the pain caused by gang activity.  Tracy’s partnership with residents, police departments and school districts has made her a beacon to our community.

Deacon Doug has been serving his parish of San Antonio for over 30 years.  His heart’s work is in serving the homeless, founding the Family Assistance Ministry which has dispensed $2.4 million in aid to homeless families and those at-risk of homelessness.  He has actively participated with OCCCO’s Poverty Task Force - speaking at City Hall, research meetings with city staff and council, field trips with the Mayor and council.   He powerfully calls his community to a deeper understanding of their faith.  Deacon Doug has also acted as the spiritual director for the Catholic Cursillo retreat program and just led his 51st retreat! He is a true Beacon of light to the Orange County community.
