What a weekend. On Saturday, May 15th, OCCCO commemorated 25 years of improved communities and changed lives with the Community Beacon Awards dinner at Santa Ana’s Delhi Community Center. Maya Dunne of Maya Dunne and Associates and Elisa Stipkovich from the City of Anaheim were recognized with awards for their unique contributions to community improvement. Pastor Bob Rohdenburg was honored in memoriam for years of service. Son del Centro and Corazones Alegres lit up the night with their stunning performances. Artists from the Laguna College of Art and Design unveiled commissioned portraits of six OCCCO leaders. Sponsors included Wells Fargo, St. Joseph Health System, The California Endowment, Related Housing, Hoag Hospital, Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, The City of Anaheim, Keith and Judy Swayne, Stepping Up – Orange County Community Housing Corporation, Maya Dunne and Associates, Justice Partners of Orange County, C.J. Segerstrom & Sons, and THINK Together. Thanks to all those supporting our event, and to our generous sponsors and table hosts, we raised $45,000. Way to go. We still have some unsettled business. We are looking for 18 more donors to give $25 per month for our 25-year anniversary. Will you take the challenge?
