Nearly 100 OCCCO clergy, parents, surfers and concerned community members gathered in front of Sen. Tom Harman's office on Tuesday, May 31 to lift up Orange County kids and ask Senator Harman to stop the cuts and maintain the existing revenues. Testimonies were shared by parents, clergy, a local elementary principal and even a surfer, to talk about the devastating impacts that deeper cuts will have on Orange County and the opportunities that it provides for its kids. Children held signs with colorful hand prints that asked Sen. Harman to 'Be a Champion for OC kids' and cheered as cars honked going past. The message that each speaker brought was to ask Sen Harman to stop the cuts and maintain the revenues, "because our kids are worth the investment."
